On a new species of emydid-tortoise from the Pliocene of Poland
Acta Palaeontologica Polonica 01 (2), 1956: 153-164
An additional discovery has recently been made in the Węże bone breccia of more perfect remains of a Pliocene tortoise, previously identified by the writer with Emys orbicularis L. This find justifies the erection of a new species for which the name of Emys wermuthi n. sp. is suggested.
